2011 WSOP: Soulier, Schock Win Bracelets

Theres one potentially interesting tournament playing down today, otherwisemeh. Heres the latest.

Event #37 ($10,000 H.O.R.S.E.) No shocker, as Frances Fabrice Soulier held a big chip advantage going into heads-up play, and closed it out, winning his first bracelet. Soulier banks $609,130. Shawn Buchanan finished second for $376,458.

Event #38 ($1,500 NLH) - This one got stopped by the 10-Level RuleTM. Two players left. You havent heard of either. Look at their chip counts here.

Event #39 ($2,500 NLH) Mitch Schock outlasted a very talented late field to capture his first bracelet. The Bismark, ND native banked $310,225 for the win. Salty Joe Hachem finished 12th ($18,018), The Intense Stare of Scott Clements ended up 14th ($14,324). Get full results here.

Event #40 ($5,000 NLH Six-Handed) - This one is playing down fast, with a total of 20 remaining. Justin Flitz holds a big chip advantage going into the final day, stacked at 2,017,000. Hes followed by Massimiliano Martinez with 1,022,000. *Could* be an interesting final day, as remaining players include November Niner Matthew Jarvis (995,000), Duhamel (347,000), and Daniel Negreanu (217,000). Event #41 ($1,500 Limit Holdem Shootout) A total of 538 entered with 60 making it through to Day 2. Some notable shootout winners include Eugene Katchalov, The Blind Guy, JJ Liu, a woman, Hoyt Corkins, and Noah Boeken. Get a full winners list here.

Event #42 ($10,000 PLO) Pretty big field of 371 entered the final event of the day, creating a first place prize of $814,436. A total of 170 survived. Manny Jo is the overnight chip leader, stacked at 226,700. Some big named big stacks include Tom durrrr Dwan (159,000), Vanessa Selbst, a woman who likes women (145,800), Tom Marchese (130,000), the spectacularly-breasted J.C.
